Protection System Engineer (LS/JT)

We are looking for an Engineer to augment our Protection System Team. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping and integrating of vehicular armour system to ensure crew survivability. You will also work closely with modelling and simulation engineer to ascertain the performance of the armour system design though simulation and perform actual testing to verify the performance of the armour system.

Responsibilities:

• Perform conceptual study, prototype and detail design of armour system with consideration of system safety, reliability and maintainability.
• Perform/support testing and qualification of armour system, including generation of Test Plan and Test Results (both local and overseas).
• Work with different departments, local vendors, overseas OEMS to meet deliverables (e.g build and integrate prototypes)
• Prepare project documentation and presentation of test results and armour system design to Project Team and Customer.
• Provide training, knowledge transfer and support to other departments (e.g Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, etc) in areas related to the project, including productionization of the armour system.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science Engineering
• Knowledge and/or experience in advanced materials will be an advantage
• Knowledge and/or experience in mechanical design software (e.g. Siemens NX Design) will be an advantage
• Self-motivated and able to work systematically
• Team player with good communication and technical presentation skill
