PROJECT QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Job Responsibilities

1. Assisting in the identification of client’s needs and conducting feasibility studies to ensure proposals work.
2. Preparing and analyzing project costings for tenders, including materials, labor, and time.
3. Preparing tender and contract documents with the client and/or architect, including bills for quantities.
4. Negotiating contracts and work schedules.
5. Assigning work to subcontractors.
6. Overseeing subcontractor’s work during construction.
7. Advising clients on a procurement strategy.
8. Identifying, analyzing, and responding to commercial risks.
9. Providing advice on disputes and claims under a contract.
10. Analyzing results and creating detailed progress reports.
11. Valuing completed work, monitoring bills, and organizing payments.
12. Keeping informed about the various building contracts currently in use.
13. Understanding the consequences of safety and health regulations.
14. Measuring distances between reference points to locate boundaries and other important features of land and water.
15. Recording survey results, comparing them to previous records, and verifying data accuracy.
16. Presenting survey results to government agencies or other clients.
17. Assisting cartographers, architects, and construction managers with the construction of maps and new construction project designs.

Minimum Requirements

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
2. At least 3 years of relevant experience; preferably in HDB BTO projects.
