Project Officer (Geotechnical Engineering)

The Centre for Urban Solutions is to provide leadership in developing innovative solutions and sustainable technologies for space creation and urban infrastructure development. The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. It has over 50 faculty members and more than 1,500 students and is rapidly expanding its range of education and research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Project Officer should be familiar with geotechnical engineering, data analytics, and/or underground engineering.
• The Project Officer will be mainly responsible for processing tunneling data and analyzing the data using machine learning algorithms.
• The position involves conducting research, supervising undergraduate students, and writing project reports and scientific articles.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor Degree in geotechnical engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with team members.
• Good verbal and written communication in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders.
• Working or research experience in geotechnical engineering and/or underground engineering of at least 1 year is desirable.
