Responsibilities

  • Setup and manage the schedule control process and project execution plan for both Boise and New York mega projects.
  • Be the major contact to provide facilities readiness schedule and integrate base build schedule to tool installation TI Q to pull the tool readiness date.
  • Interact with Project Manager and various key players involved in the project implementation to establish work scope and develop work strategies with proper sequence and durations compliant to project master plan.
  • Ensure that the Project Manager is provided with support and advice on all aspects of Project Controls.
  • Adhere to Project Control Plan.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the site construction Project Controls department.
  • Ensure site construction projects comply with defined Global work processes, reports, and procedures for cost control, planning, risk, and document control at project level.
  • Ensure all projects follow global business processes and standards and ensure alignment to best practice project management principles.
  • Assist in coordinating Lesson Learned sessions for projects with all team members.

Schedule Management

  • Ensure as-built schedule is prepared within 30 days after the project achieves the last key milestone.
  • Identify schedule Risks and Opportunities and collaborate with Project team to meet Micron’s objectives by delivering projects within the timeline set out.
  • Identify potential risks/problem areas and advise Project manager as well as management with mitigation plans weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Support the development and update WBS/CBS/OBS in global platform and ensure standardization is effectively used in the project schedule.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report progress, performance, and trends.
  • Responsible for the development of Overall progress chart which includes Progress chart by discipline (by contract if applicable).
  • Check and verify Project progress report by discipline submitted by Contractor weekly.
  • Verify Contractor submitted Progress Measurement methods and Procedure.
  • Review Contractor’s Overall Schedule including subcontractors’ and direct vendors’ schedule.
  • Host weekly schedule review meetings with Contractor to review Schedule Control Plan, Manpower Plan, and Productivity Plan.
  • Review and monitor Contractor Schedule in Primavera (P6) and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are aligned prior to finalizing a baseline for the project.
  • Responsible for consolidating Weekly Project Report (WPR) and Monthly Project Report (MPR).

Risk Management:

  • Monitor and facilitate the Risk Management process: Work with Project team to identify Risk and Mitigation measures and seek Opportunities to reduce construction timeline and budget.
  • Ownership of assigned modules within Micron Project Control System (MPCS) platform for project control and ensure assigned projects leverage this platform for project control.
  • Develop, validate, and test the new Micron Project Controls System (MPCS) and conduct end-user training for site users.
  • Maintain Benchmarking data (Historical and Market) for both Cost (material, labour, etc.) and Time collection regularly in the platform.
  • Benchmark cost data and measure savings that reflect enhancements in business processes, provide estimation of capital projects, tracking improvements to drive down costs, and maintain Company Pricing Databases.
  • Simulation of Cost and time for various risk factors and Contingency Management associated with the project specifics.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • Degree in any engineering discipline, project management, construction or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in relevant field in the Semiconductor industry for project control and schedule management for both base build and tool installation.
  • Worked as chief scheduler or schedule manager for minimum 3 fab new building projects and 3 high volume tool installation projects.
  • Master of greenfield or brownfield new fab construction scheduling with knowledge of civil and facilities construction sequence, inter-logic, and testing and commissioning sequence.
  • Capability to create and maintain TIQ (tool installation and qualification) schedule consolidating facilities readiness sequence.
  • Capability to integrate base build facilities schedule with TIQ, tool utility matrix, and tool layout to maximize the base build and TI schedule overlap to achieve the earliest tool readiness date.
  • Cooperate with contractor and subcontractor to optimize the P6 planning. Detect and mitigate project negative floats.
  • Provide scheduling data and recommend construction tactics and strategies to project managers to achieve project milestones.
  • Sufficient experience to lead task force to mitigate milestone delays.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), project control platforms P6, and automation dashboards software such as BI, Power Automate.
  • Ability to create guidelines, procedures, and own the project team to successful implementation of control procedures.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and be an effective communicator.
  • Takes ownership of deliverables with the ability to work independently or as part of a wider group.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, sensitive to timelines, and have a strong work ethic.
