Job description

Reporting to the Director, Development, the Project Manager will manage complex, grant-based projects involving multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Effectively manage complex, grant-based projects involving multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
  2. Oversee project budgets to ensure optimal allocation and use of funds.
  3. Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and delays are minimised.
  4. Manage stakeholders' expectations through regular communication and status updates.
  5. Conduct impact measurement to evaluate project outcomes and effectiveness.
  6. Identify and mitigate project risks to prevent potential setbacks.
  7. Work closely with senior professionals and academics from various sectors to achieve project objectives.
  8. As required, travel to project sites outside of Singapore to oversee project implementation and progress.
  9. Lead and manage education and healthcare-related social projects to improve lives in Asia.
  10. Perform ad hoc tasks or take on other responsibilities related to the operation and activities of the Foundation assigned by the senior management.

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  1. At least a Bachelor's degree from a good university, with a preference for a graduate degree.
  2. Experience (at least 3 years) in managing complex projects, preferably in commercial and non-profit environments.
  3. Proven track record in managing project budgets, project timelines, project risks and stakeholders' expectations.
  4. Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Mandarin is required to deal with partners.
  5. Willingness and ability to travel to project sites internationally.
  6. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and a pleasant personality.
  7. Able to work independently and responsibly with minimum supervision.
  8. Passionate about serving underserved communities and making a positive impact.
  9. Demonstrates honesty, sincerity, and a positive, can-do attitude.
  10. Experience working in multicultural environments and managing diverse teams.
  11. Singapore citizen or PR only.
