Job description

Job Description:

The incumbent serves as the key point of client contact to ensure delivery of high-quality customer service for the assigned site. He/she evaluates service quality and initiates any necessary corrective action in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  1. Works in conjunction with the client to facilitate a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors.
  2. Responsible for the administration of the local outsourced security team and work in close liaison to the company that provides the security unit.
  3. Assists in maintaining Quality in all Security operations and assists in project management for Security.
  4. Initiate and update policies, procedures, and all work instructions.
  5. Conducts regular, random, and surprise checks/inspections of Security operations and self-audits as directed.
  6. Assists in developing, implementation, and management of Security Loss Reporting Program to ensure appropriate and timely loss notification by business units.
  7. Oversee and coordinate any special functions or events on or off site for the client.
  8. Act as liaison between local law enforcement agencies and management during crisis situations.
  9. Directly leads, manages/provides advice and guidance to / supervises / monitors to ensure that procedures and best practices are being followed at all times by staff under direct control.
  10. Encourages and nominates, in writing, staff for formal awards/recognition for their good work done in a very timely manner.
  11. Work in partnership with the client as well as Global Security members.
  12. Proactively forecast and communicate potential issues and concerns, including unexpected hazards or disasters (natural or human-made), and ensure the accurate and timely recommendations of business and security related risks or actions.
  13. Provides support deployment, events, or audits.
  14. Incumbent would be expected to work outside of scheduled hours, including weekends and holidays, based on emergencies or uncommon incidents.
  15. Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrate professionalism and capability at high-level meetings and be able to undertake initiatives on the client’s behalf as required.
  2. Manage threat intelligence and analysis activities, including required escalations to management and crisis management teams.
  3. Ability to have a strong working relationship with client or vendors to ensure open lines of communication in order to ensure safety and security concerns are addressed.
  4. A Diploma in Security or equivalent disciplined service qualification/experience with at least 5-10 years hands-on experience in an operational management role with commercial security experience.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and manage a team of at least 30+ staff/guards at multiple customer locations.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written, is crucial.
  7. Must be computer literate.
  8. Knowledge of financial, commercial, and legal related matters is essential.
  9. Familiar with Police Licensing Regulatory matters. Candidates currently holding security management positions will be viewed favorably.
