Project Manager

Job Responsibilities

1. Evaluate the programme of works
2. Coordinate with Architect, Civil & Structural Engineers, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers and other consultants in supervision of the project to ensure compliance of drawings/specifications, approved work methods and authorities requirements
3. Establish the risk management, time management, cost planning and management system for the construction activities
4. Manage the Contractor on the construction of the project, including but not limited to monitoring submissions by Contractor and clearances from the consultants and relevant authorities
5. Identify / solve site problems. To liaise and coordinate with all Contractors, consultants and HDB (including the chairing of regular meetings) to ensure timely resolution of all site problems
6. Verify Contractor’s progress payment
7. Supervise architectural works to achieve good workmanship
8. Monitor acceptance and commissioning tests/inspections
9. Respond to all emergency matters, such as fire and accidents, at the site during or off working hours

Requirements

1. Possess an Architectural, Civil / Structural / Electrical / Mechanical /Environmental Engineering, Building Science, Project Management, Construction Management or other construction and engineering related degree
2. The degree shall be recognised either by the respective Professional Bodies in Singapore or BCA (BOA, PEB, BCA)
3. A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduate working experience in the building construction industry, preferably in HDB projects or 3 years of relevant post-graduate project management experience.
4. Possess a Certificate of Competency in Earth Control Measures for Construction Site Personnel
5. Familiar with the Microsoft Project Management software
6. Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
7. Good written and communication skills
