Your Role
As a Project Logistics Customer Excellence Specialist, you will coordinate shipments, including heavy lift and oversized cargo, via various modes of transport. You will ensure data accuracy, produce timely documentation, prepare quotations, and support commercial activities. Your role includes managing local services like trucking and warehousing, handling administrative tasks, and resolving customer complaints. You will also report incidents and hazards, ensuring compliance with working instructions. Your Responsibilities
- Make suitable and relevant arrangements for shipment handling independently (not limited to heavy lift and oversized cargo) via air, sea, barge, charters, etc., ensuring key performance indicators are met.
- Ensure an accurate level of data quality, ensuring that all systems are kept up to date promptly.
- Ensure accurate and timely production of relevant documentation (including but not limited to import/export declarations, customs clearance, and MES declarations).
- Prepare spot quotations and data for tender documents, actively participating in commercial support.
- Complete all tasks and administration relating to local services such as trucking and warehousing services, including full hub operations and cargo surveys where applicable.
- Complete all required file administration including documentation, billing, and vendor invoices/ebills acknowledgment and weekly forwarding sub-ledger (FSL).
- Take appropriate corrective action or notify the relevant person and office to prevent a recurrence of customer complaints.
- Report incidents and hazards as per the relevant working instructions.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Must have at least 3 years of overall experience in the freight forwarding industry.
- Deep knowledge and experience in handling flat rack, open container, break bulk shipment, RORO (Roll-On/Roll-Off), and out-of-gauge cargo.
- A strong desire to learn and adapt to new challenges and processes.
- Experience with O&G (Oil & Gas) container base is preferable.
- Ability to manage various types of shipments efficiently.
