This position reports to

Senior Project Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work within the sales support and engineering functions of the E-House & Electrical solution portfolio of the business. The successful candidate will be a solution-oriented engineer who loves working on complex projects, driving innovative technical solutions to our customers. You will be working with a dynamic sales support team and engineering team, both in electrical and automation disciplines for the offshore solutions business such as FPSO, Wind Offshore, and Petrochemicals industries. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division of ABB, Singapore.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Supporting the Project Lead Engineer in reviewing technical documents like GA, SLD, Scheme, etc.
2. Reviewing Project RFQ documents and understanding customer requirements.
3. Preparing project system study documents like load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies.
4. Learning ABB’s products and solutions like HV, MV & LV switchgears, PMS, and DCS (800xA).
5. Learning other electrical products like Transformers, UPS + Batteries, Distribution boards, NGR, Bus-duct, etc.
6. Preparing individual equipment RFQ and liaising with suppliers.
7. Supporting the project bid manager in preparing technical & commercial bids in compliance with ABB’s defined sales and bid processes.
8. Attending customer sites with colleagues and conducting technical presentations and clarifications on ABB solutions.

Qualifications for the role

• You are a fresh graduate of Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.
• Ability to demonstrate your passion and drive in learning ABB equipment and the digital platform for monitoring electrical assets.
• Possess basic or theoretical knowledge of different electrical components or solutions.
• You enjoy working in a dynamic and diversified team of engineers and specialists.
• Driven, self-motivated, and keen on learning different functions in the business.
• You are at ease communicating in English.
• You hold work rights in Singapore.
