Project Engineer (WTW System)

• Report to the Project Director / Manager in charge of the WTW system.
• Project Support: Provide technical expertise to oversee the design, development, and construction of the WTW system.
• Interface with WTW system designer, vendors, and fabricators including drawings reviews, sourcing equipment, cost control and monitoring, schedule monitoring, and updates.
• Project Execution: Oversee project implementation according to the requirements and objectives. This includes schedule monitoring, vendor sourcing and recommendation, purchase/cost evaluation, resource allocation, attending to inquiries, clarifying technical details, supervising project execution, implementing corrective actions, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests, and finalizing as-built documentation.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve malfunctions of deck machinery using technical manuals, hand tools, and power tools.
• Record Keeping: Meticulously maintain records of all changes, maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Develop operating, maintenance, and safety procedures for the WTW system.

Qualifications Required

• Degree in Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in the Marine Industry or shipyard environment.
• Good understanding of deck machinery such as winches, cranes, lifting and handling equipment, and the related IACS (particularly ABS, DNV, BV) rules and regulations.
• Added advantage with specific experience in WTW system (Offshore Passenger Transfer System).
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulic and electrical systems, and P&ID with the ability to perform troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership with problem-solving skills; added advantage with an understanding of structural design.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with all team members at all levels.
• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both Mandarin and English with team members, vendors, fabricators, and clients.
• Ability to produce written reports and presentations in English; added advantage if such reports and presentations can be in Mandarin. Software – able to use MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Adobe, and AutoCAD. Ability to use Primavera scheduling software is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of Document Control; added advantage with knowledge of ISO9001:2015 QAM system.
• The candidate must be willing to travel and work in a marine and offshore environment.

Duration: Permanent

Location: 5 days’ work week. Mondays to Fridays: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

Transport: We have a company bus departing near Clementi MRT station at 8:10 am to bring staff to our office and a return company bus trip back to Clementi in the evening.
