Project Engineer - Networks (Marine)

About the Company

We have partnered with a well known technology multinational company in the maritime space. They are looking for a Project Engineer with a good track record of dealing with networks. This position combines project engineering, commissioning and technical support responsibilities; making it perfect for candidate from either background to get a more well rounded experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform allocated works, installations and services, local coordination of works with customer's representatives and suppliers;
• Project technical specifications, system design drawings and scope of supply preparation and review;
• Commissioning of the system on-site (includes travelling regionally up to 20-30% of the time);
• Perform customer support by email, phone and on-site;
• Identification and evaluation of technical solutions, preferred models and vendors for 3rd party equipment which is to be used within the scope of supply;
• Perform quality control of completed job;
• Adhere to internal company and functional policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as Project Engineer, System Engineer or Technical Support. Ability to do system design drawings;
• Proficient in Computer / IT skills, preferably familiar with Windows server, Cisco, VMware and Citrix. Technical skills in Networking;
• Previous exposure to the maritime industry OR one of the following products [Radio, Radar, Navigation equipment] would be a plus.
