Position : Project Engineer – Mechanical
(Dept: Project Execution Management Functional Group)

Base location: Singapore (at various site locations per project requirement)
Local travelling: Required.
Overseas travelling: No, unless there is relevant project requirement

Role Overview—

Our Project Engineer (Mechanical) position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual to execute project and mechanical activities based on the project needs. The ideal candidate will manage mechanical engineering projects, liaise with stakeholders and local authorities, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality project outcomes.

Pre-requisite—

  1. Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  2. Experience:
    Proven experience in managing mechanical engineering projects, preferably in industries with rotating machinery, piping or HVAC. Experience in liaison with local authorities and navigating regulatory approval processes.
  3. Technical Knowledge:
    Proficient in technical software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent design tools. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and installation practices. Familiar with Singapore's regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  4. Interpersonal Skills:
    Possess excellent communication and collaboration capabilities with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams.
  5. Work Style:
    Highly organised and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills. Adaptive to management changes & approaches, while maintaining a positive attitude in challenging work environments.

Responsibilities—

  1. Plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  2. Develop and review mechanical designs, technical drawings, and project documentation.
  3. Liaise with local authorities to secure necessary permits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Oversee project site activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  5. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to align on project requirements and deliverables.
  6. Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and design reviews for mechanical systems.
  7. Manage the procurement of mechanical components and equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.
  8. Monitor project progress, address challenges, and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks.
  9. Provide technical support during the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  10. Prepare progress reports and present updates to management and stakeholders.
