As the Project Engineer for Wyeth Nutritionals Singapore, you will ensure design, implementation, and start-up phases of capital investment projects on the manufacturing site, following the investment project charter, design specifications, and Nestlé standards. You will lead the governance routine for investment projects and support the area engineer on Investment Submission management and Fixed Asset management, managing end-to-end investment project flow at the site from proposal preparation to handover to operation. The Project Engineer will also be managing facilities management.

A day in the life of...

• Before starting the project design phase: Support the End to End Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager in developing the investment project charter and ensure it is strictly followed throughout the project.
• During project design phase: Execute the basic design and then the detailed design based on Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Nestlé standards, local regulations, defined User Requirements Specifications, and Total Performance Management characteristics of a unit operation (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability, and reliability), ensuring workers' safety during both construction and operation of the plant.
• During the project implementation phase: Implement the engineering side of the project (e.g., buildings, equipment erections, piping, utilities, etc.) in accordance with defined timing, cost, and quality, User Requirements Specifications, and unit operation characteristics, ensuring safety on the project site and a vertical start-up.
• Select and qualify contractors, coordinate their activities, and ensure that Nestlé standards are applied while promoting the development of environment-friendly and sustainable solutions.
• During the start-up phase of the project: Support the start-up manager and their team to assure a smooth transition to operations after qualification and verification of the installation.
• Support in preparing and distributing project documentation of engineering, including the engineering part of the project final report, and provide feedback to the Maintenance Prevention System.
• During the whole project life: Promote the development of environmental-friendly and sustainable solutions and mobilize resources (internal & external).

What will make you successful

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing project management in capital investment project development and implementation in the food industry.
• Determination of methods to minimize the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (SH&E).
• Factory operations exposure (as required).
