Job description

Overview

As a Project Coordinator, you will work closely with clients to schedule, plan, monitor, forecast, resource, and manage all project activities, ensuring accuracy and quality from conception to completion. You will be involved in getting shop-drawings approved and proposing rectifications for any defects found. It is essential to keep the documentation system up to date and in line with ISO guidelines and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  1. Work closely between Singapore and Malaysia Plant to ensure smooth delivery of materials and precast components at sites.
  2. Collaborate with cross-department teams to ensure information and issues are clearly defined and resolved.
  3. Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  4. Attend site meetings, provide feedback on site progress and schedules, justify defective components, and arrange for rectification, pre-delivery, and post-delivery activities.
  5. Interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  6. Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance) and report regularly on project status.
  7. Plan, manage, and coordinate projects to ensure timely completion within budget and of the highest quality.
  8. Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and other relevant parties on field/factory inspection issues pertaining to quality and project concerns.
  9. Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
  10. Attend required interdepartmental meetings, providing relevant updates on project status and QC matters, and relay information that may impact the project pipeline.
  11. Perform any other duties as assigned by Management and the designated manager.

Requirements

  1. Minimum Degree in Civil/Building/Construction or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a Precast or Building & Construction environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
  3. Knowledge of HDB precast construction practices and erection sequences.
  4. Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and compliance.
  5. Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  6. Good interpersonal skills to communicate with people at all levels.
  7. Willingness to work on Sundays or Public Holidays if required.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  9. A Class 3 Driving License is an advantage.
