Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the Head of Incubation. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our incubator and accelerator programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in entrepreneurship, a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, and a passion for nurturing startups, ensuring they receive the appropriate resources, mentorship, and guidance to succeed, with immediate focus on BLOCK71 Singapore activities.

The Head of Incubation will work alongside the existing team members and be primarily responsible for:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the incubator and accelerator programmes, aligning with the overall goals of the organization.
  2. Programme Management: Oversee the design, execution, and continuous improvement of incubation and acceleration programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of startups at various stages of development.
  3. Mentorship and Support: Build and maintain a network of mentors, advisors, and industry experts to provide guidance and support to participating startups.
  4. Partnership Development: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, corporate partners, government agencies, and academic institutions.
  5. Community Building: Foster a vibrant and collaborative startup community, organizing events, workshops, and networking opportunities to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  6. Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources, including funding, office space, and technical support, to maximize the impact of the programs.
  7. Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the progress and success of startups within the programs, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
  8. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of professionals dedicated to supporting the growth and success of startups.
  9. Best Practice Sharing: Collaborate with other BLOCK71 center directors on market immersion programs and share best practices in programme designs.

Qualifications

  1. Degree holder with at least 10 years of experience in the startup ecosystem, with a focus on accelerator or incubator programmes
  2. Proven track record of managing incubators and scaling accelerator programmes
  3. Deep market insights and a strong network in the startup ecosystem
  4. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  5. Proven self-starter, able to work in a fast paced environment
  6. Demonstrated consistent attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver
