Designation: Programme Executive (Supervisor), Active Ageing Centres
Responsibilities:
The Programme Executive, Supervisor of an Active Ageing Centre (AAC), is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with service requirements, and leading a team to deliver quality programmes and services for seniors. This includes managing community outreach, volunteer engagement, and befriending initiatives while ensuring a safe environment for both staff and seniors.
Reporting to the Cluster Manager, the Supervisor handles administrative functions, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and works closely with stakeholders to enhance community partnerships.
General Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily operations of the AAC, ensuring compliance with operational guidelines, safety protocols, and service requirements.
- Ensure that the centre meets all operational standards, directives, KPIs, and MOH healthcare directives.
- Supervise and support team members in handling crisis and reporting procedures effectively.
- Provide guidance on operational best practices and ensure adherence to centre policies.
Supervision & Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of staff, providing regular performance feedback and identifying training opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative team culture and ensure efficient workflow within the AAC.
- Represent the AAC in engagement with community partners or in organisational projects as assigned.
Programme Planning & Management
- Lead the planning and execution of activities.
- Oversee coordination of volunteers and community partners for successful programme implementation.
- Promote and enrol seniors in AAC programmes.
- Supervise programme administration and logistics.
Befriending & Buddying Programme
- Oversee intake and referral process for seniors seeking services.
- Guide screening, deployment, and evaluation of matches.
- Organize meetings and coordinate training sessions.
Outreach & Community Engagement
- Supervise and participate in outreach efforts to engage seniors.
- Manage administration of the Community Screening Tool (CST).
- Support linking seniors to appropriate services and programmes.
Volunteer Management & Community Partnerships
- Oversee volunteer role design, recruitment, training, and engagement.
- Work with VCE team to ensure effective volunteer support.
- Strengthen partnerships with community stakeholders.
Information & Referral Services
- Supervise team members handling enquiries.
- Manage referrals and provide guidance on service linkages.
Data Management & Administration
- Monitor and track AAC KPIs.
- Ensure proper documentation and confidentiality of client data.
- Oversee financial claims and manage programme budget.
Centre Operations & Facilities Management
- Ensure optimal functioning of the centre, including asset and IT maintenance.
- Oversee environmental sanitation compliance.
- Supervise procurement of supplies.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the seniors' sector.
- Prior experience with seniors in a community setting is a plus.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and/or dialects.
