Production Supervisor (Process - Plating)

Your Job

As a Supervisor, Process-Plating, your primary purpose is to lead, direct, and control plating production-related activities to support departmental KPIs. You will be responsible for guiding and developing the production staff to ensure their performance meets established targets and standards. Your role includes reviewing manpower and capacity planning, defining and reviewing equipment maintenance policies to optimize efficiency, and managing production costs and effectiveness to ensure resources are optimized and KPIs are met. Furthermore, you will execute tasks assigned by the manager and collaborate with the process team to resolve plating line issues.

Our Team

This role is part of the DSS division at our Singapore location, where you will work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customers. You will report to the Plating Manager and supervise all plating processes and production activities, ensuring effective communication and adherence to Quality, OH&S, and Safety Policies and Objectives.

What You Will Do

• Lead, direct, and evaluate plating production activities to ensure departmental KPI achievement.
• Guide and develop production staff to meet established performance targets and standards.
• Review and plan manpower and capacity to align with production needs.
• Define and implement equipment maintenance policies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor production costs and effectiveness to optimize resources and achieve KPIs.
• Collaborate with engineers on production challenges and work with the process team to address plating line issues.
• Facilitate daily area huddle meetings to ensure effective communication of objectives and strategies.
• Ensure all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Associate's degree or higher in a technical field, or 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of plating processes.
• Proficiency in computer and analytical skills.
• Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Material Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Experience and knowledge in supervisory and planning skills, with SAP experience highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
