Production Supervisor
Our client is a leading global manufacturer of polymer. They are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join their chemical manufacturing facility.
The role of the Production Supervisor includes:
- Lead the operation shift team to operate main Process units, utilities, material handling, packaging & warehouse.
- Provide shift leadership for plant operation, optimization & troubleshooting to meet the conditions specified in SOPs during normal operation, plant troubleshooting, Start-ups/Shutdowns/Turnarounds.
- Perform Permit to Work's job site risk assessment, and issue PTW to achieve safe work executions.
- Coach & guide field and console operators for continuous skill development.
- Lead/support the Operating Procedure Update and plant improvement activities.
- Support plant-related risk assessment and lead compliance of safe operating work practices.
- Lead emergency response and crisis management during shift.
- Responsible for execution of pre-commissioning, cold/hot commissioning. Support for the operational readiness of the new plant including walkdowns & punch listing, preparing SOPs & start-up planning.
- Provide suggestions to develop and implement improvements in the operating units.
- Support production ideas for improving profitability, safety & reliability of facilities.
- Work closely with Production Manager and Senior Production Engineer to execute production goals/targets & cost optimization ideas.
- Evaluate team members' performance and assist in conducting performance reviews.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Chemical or equivalent with at least 8-10 years of experience in petrochemical or refining manufacturing facilities.
- Minimum 2 years of production shift leader experience in rubber, polymer, or petrochemical plants.
- Good knowledge of DCS systems & field operations.
- Good coaching & mentoring skills to technicians.
- Hands-on experience of greenfield start-up and operating procedure development/update will be preferred.
- Good written & verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Singapore regulations & industry HSE practices & process safety.
- Possessing good knowledge of safe work practices and certifications for high-risk tasks, such as confined space entry, hot work, and line break.
- Able to perform rotating shift work at Jurong Island.
- Expert in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
