Seek and interpret inputs from across the organization to build a demand plan that will drive operational activity in line with the business objectives.
Manage the production plan and process operation in the plant.
Develop requirement plans for tollers to ensure the tolling plants is operating in line with planned requirements.
Manage the import and/or export of components or products to support the demand plan activities in other regions.
Manage inventory levels within target ranges for key materials and key locations. The aim is to have adequate material to maintain supply without increasing working capital costs to an unacceptable level.
Maintain understanding of short term & medium-term capacity availability and constraints. This is so that related enquiries arising from the supply, business and logistics teams can be addressed (in co-ordination with the Regional Marketing Manager/Global Business Manager) in a clear, accurate and responsive manner.
Respond to changes in plan in a timely manner. In addition to updating the demand plan and material movement requirements, this should also include highlighting likely impact of these changes to the business team. This is to ensure that the impact of these changes is understood across the Regional/Global teams.
Where required, participate in regional S&OP meetings. This will include providing reports on plans, inventory/capacity outlook, actions associated with product transitions and new product introductions. The aim is to use the meeting to communicate the demand plan and seek input and validation.
Collaborate with planners in one’s own region and other regions to ensure coordination of material requirements and shared global resources (such as plant capacity) and develop best practice procedures.
Be aware of, and support where necessary, other Supply operations within the region to ensure that Planning activities are aligned with Logistics and Procurement objectives.
Support Inventory and other ad-hoc reporting for both Demand and Supply Planning.
Support company quality and safety systems through day-to-day activities and via formal feedback mechanism.
Requirements:
Degree / Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain / Manufacturing or equivalent certifications
2 or more years experience in logistics, material planning, or coordination roles
ERP competency in materials management and supply planning
Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
