Component Repair Production Manager

An established multinational technology and engineering organization in the Aerospace Industry is currently seeking an enthusiastic Production Manager to join their team here in Singapore. This company is an expert in aerospace technology and is one of the market leaders in the industry.

About the Role:
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of over 20 technicians to oversee all aspects of engine component repair operations for commercial aircraft. You will report to the Director of the Commercial Engines & Component Repair Business Unit to ensure world-class services to the clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive operational excellence and be accountable for engine on-time delivery and contractual TAT, cost control, productivity hit-ratio metrics as well as quality and safety compliance.
2. Plan and control repair production as well as allocate manpower and resources to meet monthly engine delivery commitments.
3. Manage component repair revenue hours to meet productivity hit ratio and profit targets.
4. Ensure that quality standards and regulations from airworthiness authorities and engine OEMs are met.
5. Promote a safety culture within the production team and coordinate all environment health and safety issues for the business unit to ensure a safe workplace.
6. Lead customer focus teams to liaise with customers and coordinate with various functions such as Sales, Customer Support, Materials, and Engineering to ensure customer satisfaction in all engine maintenance programs.
7. Provide leadership and guidance to the production team of Workshop Engineers, Service Engineers, and Technicians.
8. Develop the production team towards a self-driven and versatile workforce through cross-functional training and skills development.
9. Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives such as Digitalization/Automation, to reduce cost and drive productivity.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong aerospace engineering knowledge and be willing to be a hands-on manager.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor's in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering Degree with at least 3 years relevant experience as Production Manager or Workshop Manager in the Aviation Industry.
2. Candidates with an industrial manufacturing background are also welcome to apply.
3. Knowledge and experience in aircraft engine workshop practices and MRO of gas turbine engines will be a plus.
4. Knowledge of aviation authority regulations (CAAS, FAA, EASA, CAAC).
5. Proven leadership track record with strong ability to drive and deliver results.
6. A problem solver with strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and a good team player.
7. Proven capability in managing various stakeholders and project management.
