Production Compounder (6 month contract) - Your future position?
Location: Woodlands, Singapore
Reporting to: Assistant Production Manager
As a Production Compounder, you will follow established procedures and guidelines by delivering production orders assigned by the Shift Leader to perform a variety of simple, manual tasks of a production process.
Main Responsibilities
Production Operation
- Under guidance of more experienced Operator/Leader, perform basic operation of designated machines and production equipment. Common tasks involve one of the following activities: compounding, dispensing, packaging, and washing.
- Collect intermediates or raw materials, move and load it into production machines.
- Understand bill of materials or formula specifications, so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence.
- Manufacture product according to predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
- Read control instruments, prepare neat & accurate records for all operations.
- Troubleshoot problems under guidance of senior team members.
- Help perform in-process quality testing to ensure customer specifications are met. Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
- Maintain clean shop floor and workplace and complete all sanitation and housekeeping responsibilities.
- Work observing all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP, HACCP, FDA, FSSC and internal safety guidelines.
Process Improvement
- Proactively identify process improvements.
- Participate in Lean activities in designated areas.
Professional Experience
- 3 to 4 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills
- SAP bar coding/scanning experience preferred.
- Basic math, reading and recordkeeping skills.
- Experience using RF scanner and labelling.
- Ingredient knowledge around colour, odour, order of addition and other pertinent quality factors.
- Able to lift up to 25 kg.
