Start your career with Bank of Singapore as a Product Specialist, FX Execution Dealer (VP).

General Description

The candidate is expected to provide execution service for FX-related trades, providing platform support and contributing as an FX specialist input for other bank projects and participate in driving improvement in efficiency of the FX execution business. The candidate should be an independent individual and problem solver as they may be required to cover certain time zones independently.

Main Duties

• Contribute to FX team revenue target through execution of FX trades
• Execute all internal and external FX cash and derivative trades
• Provide advisory service to RMs and clients where required
• Usage of various counterparties' dealing tools, inhouse applications
• Knowledge of front to back booking flows
• Participate in driving improvement in efficiency of the FX execution business through the delivery of enhancements of current tools and potentially implementation of other tools.
• The candidate will also be expected to do odd-shift coverage when a team member is on leave.
• Any other ad-hoc projects

Back-up function for Capital Market's multi-assets

• In the event of execution teams' coverage required, to carry out timely execution and advisory for multi-assets outside primary function (where Capital Market covers FX, Equity Cash, Bonds and Derivatives)

Qualifications

Education Qualification

• Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Preferably hold FMRP, CACS 1 & 2, Module 1B / RES12B and 6A / CM-SIP

Competency Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role
• Fast and accurate dealing acumen
• Strong commercial acumen, focused on enhancing customer experience while staying focused delivering significant improvements in revenue, productivity and efficiency
• Have E-trading platform knowledge preferably gained in other established banks
• Have knowledge of FX or other trading business
• Ability to grasp details and identify process gaps to provide solutions
• Have knowledge on data analytics to drive targeted advisory and embark on learning our clients' trading journey with Bank of Singapore and outside of BOS
• Ability to work with different stakeholders to support projects
• Ability to code (e.g., VBA, python) and familiarity with SQL is preferred
