Product Manager

Job Summary

The Product Manager is primarily responsible for securing projects relating to Smart Factory 4.0 in the semi-conductor industry and following through to the installation of the systems (which covers project scoping, developing, design customisation, securing components from sub-contractors for demonstration of prototypes to proof of concept, preparing sales proposal, negotiating terms and pricings and overseeing the production and installation of the systems for semiconductor factories globally).

Knowledge

Preferably someone that has good knowledge of Automation, IoT and AI.

Job Responsibilities

Projects Section

1. Maintain contact with and engage semi-con companies (existing customers) to solicit projects

2. Understand the customers’ requirements, analyse their problems, do project scoping, identify the components, software, additional design work and integration required

3. Develop the prototype for proof of concept (POC)

4. Present and demonstrate POC to the customer to confirm the functionalities and designs

5. Negotiate with suppliers/sub-contractors on the pricings and delivery timelines

6. Prepare costing of components and third party costs as well as internal resource requirements

7. Follow up with sales proposal

8. Present sales proposals to customers and negotiate pricings and terms with the intent to conclude the deals

9. For successful deals - design, prepare and quality check the first set of deliverable. Thereafter activate and guide the engineers to follow up with production

10. Monitor the delivery of the components and progress of the assembly/production of the end product sets

11. Oversee the installation and testing of the systems/products

Components Section

1. Identify suitable vendors to service and/or repair the products or components of the customer; negotiate the pricings and terms

2. Prepare sales proposals with appropriate margins and follow up with the customer to conclude the sales

3. Follow up with the customer and vendors to ensure delivery and fulfilment are done timely according to the specifications

Others

1. Design mechanical jig and fixtures for fab continuous improvement projects and safety related preventive measures enhancement projects

2. Collaborate with the internal Engineering Team under AMV Business to oversee the development, fabrication, installation and testing of in-house digitalization projects

3. Lead, manage, train and develop team members so that they are committed and competent in discharging their roles effectively and efficiently

Job Requirements

- Possess at least a Diploma in Engineering

- Must have at least 5 years of related working experience in a semi-conductor or wafer fab environment
