Product Engineer

Position Title: Product Engineer

Department: Engineering/Product Development

Reports To: Product and Engineering Manager

Job Description: Responsible for designing, developing, and improving products to meet customer needs and company goals. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the end-to-end product development process.
2. Lead design reviews and risk assessments.
3. Design and develop new products or improve existing ones based on customer feedback and market trends.
4. Perform detailed analysis and testing to ensure product performance and durability.
5. Work closely with the project team to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
6. Collaborate with SCM suppliers and vendors to source materials and components.
7. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
8. Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development.
9. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to understand user needs and preferences.
10. Conduct research and stay updated on the latest technologies, materials, and industry standards.
11. Prepare technical documentation, including product specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
12. Resolve technical issues during the development and production phases.
13. Monitor product performance post-launch and identify areas for improvement.
14. Collaborate with stakeholders to define software product requirements.
15. Design, implement, and test software applications and systems.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in product design or engineering.
3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
6. Experience with prototyping, testing, and production processes.
