Role Overview:

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our growing team. As a Product Designer at Additive Inn, you will work closely with engineers and other designers to create innovative, functional products that leverage the power of 3D printing and additive manufacturing. You will play a key role in transforming ideas into tangible products that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop 3D printable product concepts for various industries.
2. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and turn concepts into functional, manufacturable products.
3. Create detailed design documentation, including technical drawings, 3D models, and prototypes.
4. Work alongside engineers to ensure designs are feasible and align with production capabilities.
5. Conduct product testing and iteration based on user feedback and design requirements.
6. Stay up to date with the latest trends in 3D printing technology, design, and materials.
7. Communicate design ideas effectively within a cross-functional team and to clients.
8. Assist in refining existing product designs and suggest improvements for optimization.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in product design, preferably in 3D printing or related fields.
2. Strong portfolio demonstrating your design process, technical drawings, 3D models, and final products.
3. Proficiency in design and CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, or similar.
4. Familiarity with 3D printing software and slicing tools (e.g., BambuSlicer).
5. Excellent understanding of design for manufacturing and prototyping.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Ability to communicate design ideas clearly and effectively.
8. Experience working with additive manufacturing processes (FDM, SLA, SLS) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with materials selection and design for 3D printing.
2. Knowledge of design optimization for low-cost manufacturing and rapid prototyping.
3. Familiarity with 3D scanning and reverse engineering.
4. Experience with product testing and iteration in a fast-paced environment.
