Job description

We are seeking an experienced Product and Program Manager/ Senior Manager to spearhead strategic initiatives, lead cross-functional programmes, and drive product development for our grant administration systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in product management, programme execution, and stakeholder engagement, complemented by strong strategic planning and problem-solving capabilities.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Grant Management Programme Product Strategy and Development
    • Shape and implement the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for grant management systems
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate policy objectives into effective grant management solutions
    • Drive digital transformation by identifying automation opportunities within grant workflows
    • Oversee complete product lifecycle management from conception to deployment
    • Utilise data analytics and user insights to enhance system usability
    • Ensure systems remain scalable, secure, and adaptable to evolving policy requirements
  2. Programme and Project Execution
    • Direct end-to-end system operations across multiple programme streams
    • Establish robust programme governance frameworks with effective tracking mechanisms
    • Orchestrate risk management, team collaboration and resource allocation
    • Oversee budget planning and resource optimisation
  3. Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Foster partnerships with WSG teams, ministries, government agencies and industry stakeholders
    • Drive strategic decision-making across organisational levels
    • Deliver impactful communications to senior leadership
  4. Risk and Performance Management
    • Implement comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation strategies
    • Collaborate with Product Owners to establish and monitor key performance indicators
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

You should have the following work experience and knowledge:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in product management, programme management or similar leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale digital transformation initiatives
  • Extensive experience in product development and go-to-market strategies
  • Proficiency with project management and analytics tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Power BI)
  • Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum and Lean methodologies
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, AI and cybersecurity (where applicable)

You should possess the following skill sets:

  • Data Analysis: Advanced skills in data analysis and visualisation tools
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and vice versa.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail, able to break down complex problems, identify patterns, and draw insightful conclusions from diverse data sources.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Management: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Personal Effectiveness: Ability to quickly learn new domains, technologies, and methodologies as business needs evolve and in a fast-paced environment.
