Foster and manage relationships and communications between users and procurement.
Perform procurement planning with departments.
Provide regular reporting of procurement performance and spend analysis.
Develop and deliver training programmes and procurement clinics for university staff on procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
Develop a sound supplier network, manage supplier relationships and contracts.
Analyse and identify potential consolidation opportunities under strategic buys to optimise procurement efficiencies.
Provide end-to-end support and guide users on procurement policy, procedures and system.
Perform sourcing for General Goods and Services (GGS) category.
Administer quotation and tender processes and review procurement documents, ensuring adherence to university policy and procedures.
Participate in the evaluation of bids and conduct negotiations to ensure value for money, prepare recommendation reports, and facilitate the approval and award of bids in consultation with users.
Perform procurement transactions timely in the company's procurement system (i.e. publication, bid download, award, PO creation, goods receipt) to meet service levels.
Point of contact between users and other specialist departments such as Legal and Finance.
Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improvements.
Any other duties assigned by the University and Department.
Qualifications:
Degree in any field.
At least 3 years of procurement experience in the services sector e.g., Education, Learning, Public Sector, GLCs, Hospitality, etc.
Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
Results oriented with a demonstrated commitment to teamwork.
