Procurement Manager (Indirect)

Join a leading force in advanced manufacturing, where precision and efficiency are paramount. My client is seeking an Indirect Procurement Manager located in the West in a fully on-site role. This will be an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Procurement.

Your new role

• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Mastery: Identify, evaluate, and onboard top-tier suppliers for MRO, IT, facilities, and more. Conduct rigorous audits, negotiate favourable contracts, and cultivate long-term partnerships.
  
• Operational Precision: Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and company policies, and maintaining meticulous documentation.
  
• Cost Optimisation & Budget Leadership: Implement strategic cost-saving initiatives, manage budgets effectively, and drive financial efficiency through market analysis and benchmarking.
  
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate seamlessly with maintenance, HR, IT, and operations teams, ensuring timely delivery of essential resources and supporting CAPEX projects.
  
• Risk Mitigation & Sustainability: Proactively identify and manage supply chain risks, ensuring ethical sourcing and promoting sustainable procurement practices.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 8 years of procurement experience, with 5 years in indirect procurement within manufacturing.
  
• Proven track record in managing MRO, IT, facility services, logistics, and professional services.
  
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and cost optimisation skills.
  
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, etc.).
