Assume all purchasing duties across the company inclusive of retail, food service and branded distribution items.
Improve efficiency in management of inventory to reduce costs and increase productivity for the organization.
Establish a mix of products to enable Q.B Food to grow and develop their food service and retail offering and become a competitive force in the market.
Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable
Requirements
At least 8–10 years in procurement, ideally in FMCG or food sourcing (meat/dairy experience preferred).
Import knowledge is advantageous.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive cost savings initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
