Procurement Executive

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement procedures for food products and ingredients, from supplier identification to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate product quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of procurement activities with organisational goals and budgets.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and proactively address any issues or concerns that may arise.
• Monitor and track supplier performance, including delivery schedules, quality, and compliance with contractual terms.
• Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimise cost savings and improve operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards in the food industry.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• Proven 3 (Three) years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of food products, ingredients, and supply chain dynamics within the food industry.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Ability to analyse market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for data analysis, reporting, and tracking.
• Knowledge of relevant food safety and quality assurance standards and regulations.
