RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Quality Manager and Lab Chemist by providing troubleshooting support to the plant as required.
- Assist with the execution of laboratory experiments for new raw material evaluations.
- Conduct laboratory experiments for process development projects as required.
- Responsible for scheduled maintenance and calibration of laboratory process and testing equipment.
- Develop, implement and maintain laboratory procedures and test methods.
- Participate in plant ESHQ activities.
- Evaluate the design and selection of laboratory equipment that meets the required technical specifications.
- Maintain inventories of key lab supplies (including consumables, glassware, etc.).
- Support the Quality Manager and Lab Chemist with the introduction of new and applicable technologies to the laboratory.
- Work in collaboration with other departments and cross disciplines to resolve problems.
- Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
- Collect information to gain a better understanding of routine procedural queries.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or any related science discipline.
- At least 2 years of laboratory experience needed but fresh graduates with relevant experience will be considered.
- Knowledge in Polymer synthesis.
- Knowledge of lubricant testing is beneficial.
- Experience in the use of analytical equipment like GC, HPLC, GPC, DSC is desired.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge (E.g., specialized knowledge required to perform all the required tasks).
- Willing to work in Jurong Island (company transport provided).
