RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Quality Manager and Lab Chemist by providing troubleshooting support to the plant as required.
• Assist with the execution of laboratory experiments for new raw material evaluations.
• Conduct laboratory experiments for process development projects as required.
• Responsible for scheduled maintenance and calibration of laboratory process and testing equipment.
• Develop, implement and maintain laboratory procedures and test methods.
• Participate in plant ESHQ activities.
• Evaluate the design and selection of laboratory equipment that meets the required technical specifications.
• Maintain inventories of key lab supplies (including consumables, glassware, etc.).
• Support the Quality Manager and Lab Chemist with the introduction of new and applicable technologies to the laboratory.
• Work in collaboration with other departments and cross disciplines to resolve problems.
• Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
• Collect information to gain a better understanding of routine procedural queries.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or any related science discipline.
• At least 2 years of laboratory experience needed but fresh graduates with relevant experience will be considered.
• Knowledge in Polymer synthesis.
• Knowledge of lubricant testing is beneficial.
• Experience in the use of analytical equipment like GC, HPLC, GPC, DSC is desired.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Technical Knowledge (E.g., specialized knowledge required to perform all the required tasks).
• Willing to work in Jurong Island (company transport provided).
