Process Technician

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Performing Routine Operations:

• Attend toolbox meetings and document operational updates.
• Support shift operations during manpower shortages or special periods.
• Follow SOPs, EHS regulations, and risk assessments for safe operations.
• Record data in log sheets and participate in troubleshooting.
• Ensure completion of workflow sheets and checksheets, with supervisor confirmation.
• Assist in revising SOPs and checklists.
• Report near misses, deviations, or incidents.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure proper tool storage.
• Collect data and samples for troubleshooting and improvement.
• Monitor and maintain operational tools and inventory.
• Participate in ASDM activities and manage Car Seal & NO/NC programs.

Quality Control:

• Ensure product quality and prevent foreign material contamination.

Performing Non-Regular Work (NRW):

• Stop operations and report abnormalities.
• Participate in NRW execution, toolbox meetings, and risk management.

Emergency Response:

• Serve in the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
• Participate in CERT training, drills, and audits.
• Follow emergency response plans and assigned roles.

Committee and Training:

• Represent production shift teams in committees.
• Train and guide new technicians.

HR Policy and Overtime Participation:

• Comply with HR policies and perform pre-arranged overtime.
• Support urgent manpower needs and short-term shift work when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Nitec in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a chemical processing environment.
• Experience in polymerization and/or extrusion is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001, SS506 Part 3.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Able to work in a fast-paced day shift environment.
