Process Engineer (Plant)

Job Responsibilities

• To provide process expertise to the Project and develop PFDs, PIDs, PCNs, process datasheets for equipment, instruments, etc. Provide consultancy to all process related questions and clarify (if required) with licensor.
• Work as a team member in project organizations.
• Develop & review P&IDs, heat and material balance in corporation with process licensor.
• Develop & review concept for process control philosophy.
• Develop & review process specifications for equipment and instrumentation.
• Lead and participate in process HAZOPs.
• Support in technical bid evaluation and technical comparisons.
• Develop process logic documents.
• Maintain change log to ensure process/system engineering developments are transferred for downstream activities.
• Coordinate between Owner, contractors, and suppliers ensuring correct implementation.
• Manage interfaces with other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering from a reputed University with a minimum of 7 years of experience in an engineering company. Additional operational experience in petrochemical and oil & gas will be preferred.
• Experience working in project and construction environments within gas & gas industries.
• Good understanding of plant operations and P&ID knowledge.
• Experience developing technical proposals and evaluating technical proposals from vendors.
• Experience evaluating and developing process data sheets for items like pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, vessels, and instrumentation.
• Experience in hydraulics calculations, PSV sizing, and control valve sizing.
• Hands-on experience in participation in HAZOP, PHA, Risk assessment, and SIL study.
• Good analytical skills in utilizing complex plant process data to troubleshoot chronic plant issues.
• Experience developing process concepts and heat and material balance.
• Experience in developing control philosophy for any process concept.
• Experience in EMOC.
• Experience in System Ownership on construction.
• Experience in Mechanical Walkdown.
• Experience in PSSR.
• Good interpersonal skills to work as a team member and collaborate with different disciplines.
• Good understanding of global standards like ASME, API, etc.
