Process Engineer

Our client "Asahi Kasei Synthetic Rubber Singapore Pte Ltd" is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team!

What you'll be doing?

• Drive process improvements: Draft and implement ideas to enhance safety, quality, energy efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate on new products: Coordinate with R&D and Operations teams to plan and execute trial runs for new grades of synthetic rubber.
• Ensure plant stability: Evaluate process performance and key parameters to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Troubleshoot and analyze: Apply your expertise to resolve plant issues, conduct root cause analysis, and propose effective solutions.
• Enhance safety and quality: Participate in HAZOP, FMEA, and Control plan studies to improve overall operations.
• Lead capital projects: Oversee process-related capital expenditures from conceptual design to Front End Engineering Design (FEED).
• Implement Industry 4.0: Study and apply cutting-edge technologies to boost productivity and process efficiency.
• Contribute to management systems: Collaborate across departments to maintain and improve various ISO certifications and industry standards.

Who are they looking for?

• Educational background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering to provide a strong foundation for the role.
• Industry experience: 3+ years of experience in Petrochemical Industries, with 5+ years for senior positions.
• Energy management: Possession of Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification is a plus.
• Safety and quality focus: Familiarity with Safety Case Regime, IATF 16949, ISO standards, and IEC 61511 is highly valued.
• Technical proficiency: Experience with process simulation software like Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS, as well as Distributed Control Systems.
• Personal qualities: Strong multitasking abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and sharp analytical thinking.
