Description:

Attachment to Engine line. As part of the learning process, the Engineer would be first attached to the Engine Line (Assembly / Disassembly) to understand Engine Fundamentals, e.g., work scoping, engine test cell run - performance analysis, engine troubleshooting, understand engine hardware and its function, etc. This attachment exercise is for better understanding of the product type and its criticality when crossing over to do part repair.

Key Job Accountabilities:

1. Process / Product Type:
   1. In-charge of at least two repair processes and two product types.
   2. Troubleshoot process issues.
   3. Resolve daily production issues.
   4. Technical Queries to OEM or Customer.
   5. Assist in process investigation.
   6. Writing worksheets for piece job pertaining to assigned process.
   7. Generate process and qualify parameters.
   8. Process improvements.
   9. Cost Savings.
   10. Basic trending for process parameters.
2. Capability Setup:
   1. Do First Article on new ESM repair procedures, SBs.
   2. Do Capability Setup on new equipment or processes.
   3. Carry out Tooling Review and Control.
   4. Do submission for capability declaration.
3. Documentation Publication:
   1. Review (ESM, SB, ADs, TR, IC) including process specification (AMS, ASTM, BS).
   2. Worksheet amendments.
   3. In-house specifications amendments.
   4. Review Manual updates.
4. Prepare:
   1. FMM for machine.
   2. Aviation HIRA for processes.
5. Operation Support:
   1. Provide Tech support to Operations.
   2. Raise TVR, CDR for engine repair.
   3. Raise TM, EB, EN.
   4. Attend, resolve and smoothen operations flow.
   5. Review, investigate and provide solutions to Open Reporting issues raised by operation.
6. Investigation:
   1. Assist in Investigation of engine component issues.
   2. Carry out root cause analysis, provide recommendations for corrective and preventive measures.
   3. Follow up on investigation details and ensure no re-occurrence.
7. Troubleshooting:
   1. Resolve repair processes issues.
8. Training:
   1. Carry out training on repair processes and associated Standard practices.
   2. Carry out training for first article processes.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

1. Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.
2. Have undergone at least 2 – 3 years of on-the-job training.
3. Have demonstrated consistent and sustainable cost improvement at least 5x annual salary.
4. External Candidates must have at least 5 years working experience in Propulsion Engines and Components MRO Environment to be independent contribution.
5. Strong Fundamentals in Engineering Drawing interpretations.
6. Understanding of Repair Processes is an added advantage.
7. Some Understanding of regulatory NDT Requirements.
8. Some Understanding of FAA 45 /EASA regulations.
9. Strong analytical and communication skills.
10. Good Computer skills.
11. Strong Interpersonal Skills.
12. Demonstrate high degree of Initiative.
