What will you do as a Process Engineer?
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing feasibility study reports, basic conceptual design of storage, pumping, heating and loading/unloading operations for greenfield and brownfield projects to support business development.

What do we expect from you as a Process Engineer?
- Degree in Chemical Engineering (Chemical Process).
- Preferable to have experience in Terminal Operations or Chemicals plants or Oil & Gas industry.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Project proficiency with Engineering and Operational background and experience in managing tank farm and similar projects.
- Project management skills.
- Knowledge of technical functional areas for better coordination and timely decision making.
Your core responsibilities are:
- Contribute to the design of engineering solutions and processes; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.
- Develop feasibility study report for projects.
- Prepare conceptual design and basic process calculation and equipment rating.
- Develop, configure and optimize processes, sizing & selection of equipment for Tender from inception through to start up.
- Introduce new product technology that will increase safety, reliability and cost effectiveness.
- Facilitate in Hazop Study for all projects and modification.
- Ensure process engineering and design execution follow Vopak Standards, Specification, Work Procedure.
- Determine customer’s requirements and technical specifications.
- Prepare enquiry, tender document, technical evaluation & clarifications, and recommendations.
- Assist commercial and business development team in developing the business and financial model of new business opportunities.
- Work with Engineering team on budgetary cost for projects and existing terminals revamp or expansion.
- Prepare specifications and estimate costs for the proposed new, modifications, expansions projects.
- Produce basic conceptual design of storage, pumping and loading/unloading operation.
- Review of vendor’s documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations.
- Prepare & Issue of RFQs, evaluation of vendor’s quotations, clarifications, technical bid analysis etc.
- Prepare various engineering deliverables (Drawings & documents) such as process flow diagrams, P & I Diagrams, process datasheets, equipment specifications, cause & effect diagrams, control philosophies, shutdown philosophies, HAZOP studies & reports, operation & maintenance manuals etc. and providing necessary engineering inputs to other departments.
- Work with respective parties on these reporting and documentation.
- Provide process and operational training to terminal operator for new terminal operation.
- Plan and participate in pre commissioning of new facility operations.
- Involve in the PSSR and start-up of the new operations.
- Effective interface between the customer and Vopak from an operational/technical point of view before and during the project.
- Provide the necessary technical support for terminal O&M procurement, construction as required.
