Principal Equipment Engineer

Job description
In your new role you will:

1. Responsible and maintain a group of Final Test Equipment.
2. Drive & improve equipment uptime performance to achieve target equipment efficiency.
3. Drive & implement maintenance cost, quality & yield improvement project.
4. Preventive and predictive maintenance improvement program to maintain equipment stability.
5. Equipment spare part management.
6. Impart equipment knowledge and skill to shopfloor maintenance team.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve major breakdown equipment.
8. Expert in the following areas: Equipment/Handler Change kit conversion, Handler critical parameter control (e.g. mechanical alignment, pressure, motor), Jam statistics analysis.

Your profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

1. Degree in Mechatronic/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering.
2. Min 5 - 8 years of experience in Final Test equipment in semiconductor industry.
3. Experience in Tri temp IC Test Handler - E.g. Delta Matrix/Advantest M48xx series is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge in applying problem-solving and analysis tool, e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, QC tool.
5. Technically sound and strong desire to build up technical competency.
6. Lead to recommend design change to improve equipment performance.
7. Passionate in problem solving and drive multiple team members on PSDM.
8. Project management and proactive communicator providing timely update to various stakeholders.
