Job description

MISSION

The specialist teacher works in the specific professional context of an inclusive education system, at IFS within the ‘Tous inclusIFS’ system.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Contributes to the development and implementation of an inclusive school project.
  2. Coordinates actions with members of the educational community for the schooling and support of pupils.
  3. Works in conjunction with teachers and the various departments in the school.
  4. Is part of a cooperative approach with various players and partners. The referent teacher acts as an expert in the analysis of special educational needs and the responses to be developed.
  5. Develops or contributes to the development and implementation of Personal Schooling Projects and Personalised Support Projects with a view to a pathway to success.
  6. Is responsible for preventing learning difficulties.
  7. The specialist teacher acts as a resource person for inclusive education in a variety of situations.
  8. Takes ownership of and disseminates the ethical and societal issues involved in inclusive schools.
  9. Responds in the context of practice to requests for advice concerning the development of concerted pedagogical responses to special educational needs.
  10. Builds professional relationships with families, involving them in the educational process.
  11. Develops and runs awareness-raising and information campaigns and takes part in training courses on the subject of inclusive education.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcoming and informing the student and/or his/her parents when the student registers as a resource person (single entry).
  • Developing partnerships with local players (embassy / medical officer / care staff).
  • Update and maintain the TOUS INCLUSIFS intranet and a platform for parents (IFS website).
  • Act as a link between the various TOUS INCLUSIFS players (GAIN/FLSCO/EFL).
  • Steering training on the issue of support for EBEPs.
  • To compile files and lead the Schooling Monitoring Teams in the context of an MDPH file for primary schools.
  • Putting together files and steering educational teams as part of a PAP for primary schools.
  • Monitoring and steering the school's AESH team on the model of a PIAL coordinator in France (recruitment/training).
  • Ensure inter-grade links (GS/CP CM2/6ème).
  • To monitor the CPOMS software in order to secure confidential documents that are essential for monitoring pupils, in line with the school's personal data protection policy.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIRED

  • National Education teacher or equivalent profile.
  • Holder of a CAPA SH (preferably option G) or a CAPPEI.
  • Experience in primary education required and secondary education desirable.
  • Experience in an international context appreciated.
  • Organisational skills and cooperation with families and school partners.
  • Responsiveness and availability.
  • Ability to adapt and caring attitude.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team and to take on the role of resource person.
  • Good command of digital tools.
  • Ability to adapt to non-French-speaking students.
  • Fluency in English (B2 level and above) required to work with bilingual (French and English-speaking) students and families.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time positions of 27 hours/week.
  • Remuneration based on diploma, experience and IFS salary scale.
  • Start date: end of August 2025.
