Job description

Job Scope: Teacher

Plan and Implement Curriculum and Programs:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate teaching and caregiving activities aligned with relevant curricula frameworks.
  • Assess learning needs and tailor classroom management strategies to foster a supportive environment.
  • Create a high-quality learning atmosphere with suitable materials and resources that inspire exploration and growth.
  • Ensure health, safety, nutritional, and hygiene practices meet Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Document and evaluate children’s learning and development to inform effective planning and teaching strategies.
  • Explore innovative teaching methods, tools, and assistive technologies that reflect emerging trends in the sector.

Build Stakeholder Relationships and Partnerships:

  • Foster a collaborative culture within the center through effective communication strategies and policies.
  • Partner with families to ensure seamless continuity of care and learning between home and the center.

Manage Family and Community Programs:

  • Lead collaborative projects with families and community stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Design outreach activities that promote the center’s programs and services to the wider community.
  • Assess and refine family and community initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.

Conduct Routine Caregiving:

  • Carry out caregiving assessments and review practices to maintain high standards in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Evaluate and implement improvements in routine caregiving practices to enhance quality of care.

Uplift Professional Practice:

  • Embody and promote the center’s vision, mission, and core values in all aspects of work.
  • Collaborate on the development of innovative teaching and caregiving methods that integrate the latest sector trends, technologies, and tools.
  • Identify opportunities for professional growth and areas for improvement in practice.
  • Propose initiatives for professional development and service quality enhancement.

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education – Teaching
    (Recognized by ECDA)
  • Certification: Minimum L2 certified
  • Experience: Less than 3 years in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).
  • Passion: A strong enthusiasm for children and their development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Language Proficiency: Good command of English or Mandarin (both verbal and written).
