Prepress Specialist

• Desktop Publishing - receiving & checking of all editorial completed pages (English, Chinese, Malay & Tamil) as well as overseas publications
• Electronic transmission of completed pages to the designated print sites
• Liaison with Marketing and Editorial on day-to-day page flow and advertising material issues
• Graphic enhancement using Adobe Photoshop Application for both editorial and advertising images
• Updating & creation of shipping schedule and obituary ad make-up using Adobe InDesign Application
• Receiving and quality check of all in-coming advertisements from advertising agencies
• Provide feedback to Marketing department if advertisement material submitted does not conform to printing specifications
• Assign copy instruction for all advertisements
• Filing, sorting and housekeeping of all advertising materials and newspapers
• Training will be provided

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE "N" / "O" level
• Able to operate Windows or Mac OS
• NTC or Nitec Graphic Reproduction and knowledge of Adobe Applications (InDesign & Photoshop) will be an added advantage
• Good knowledge of colour management and experience in digital imaging is preferred
• 5-day week with night and day shift rotations (PH and Weekends included, with rotational off-days. Day shift: 8am to 5.45pm, Night shift: 5.30pm to 3.15am with transport provided)
