The Right Profile

We are seeking a senior communications professional to drive Syfe’s media and communications strategy. The candidate will work directly with the senior executive team. While it’s not necessary to already have a deep understanding of finance, the ideal candidate should have a keen interest in investing and personal finance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build brand awareness, customer loyalty, and satisfaction.
  2. Oversee all internal and external communications for the company, ensuring its message is consistent and engaging.
  3. Plan and execute corporate communication plans to effectively communicate the company’s purpose, beliefs, growth and operational model, client and employee value proposition.
  4. Manage external corporate communications and media relations to improve Syfe’s brand perception.
  5. Draft senior management talking points, speeches, and announcements at events, and support the Senior Leadership Team in public appearances and media engagements.
  6. Manage media inquiries, write media releases, organize media events, handle on-site media engagement, prepare media kits, and brief spokespersons on FAQs. Red-team for possible de-railers to communications, crafting talking points and analyzing media coverage.

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of 8-10 years of working experience in corporate communications and media relations; marketing/PR agency background is a bonus.
  2. Keen interest in investing and personal finance is required.
  3. Candidates with an understanding of and experience in investing/financial services will be strongly considered.
  4. Media relations and PR skills to initiate media pitches on stories and earn coverage.
  5. Content strategy and planning skills; storytelling skills.
  6. Experience in crisis communications management, backed by the quick ability to understand business issues, have the tenacity to craft clear and sharp messages, FAQs, and responses in crisis situations.
  7. High level of originality and creativity as well as strong interest in new technologies and the digital economy business landscape to execute internal communications campaigns that will truly engage and resonate with staff.
  8. Skilled in LinkedIn to support SLT and Leaders' social branding.
  9. Strategic communication skills with strong writing skills to craft press releases, media FAQs, CEO messages, and internal and external communications.
  10. Established contacts with the media.
  11. Team player with great interpersonal skills to interlock with various business units.
  12. Confidence to interact and engage with Senior Leaders.

Recruiting Process (estimated duration: 4 to 6 weeks)
