Polymers Operations Executive

Role Objective:

Manage the whole procedure of operations, which includes handling and managing shipping documents as well as managing all necessary documents for L/C application and bank negotiation. Responsible for liaising with counterparties, under the direction of the Global Trading Manager to ensure smooth order fulfilment after a trade has been confirmed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and arrange cargo operations
• Vet, counter and execute trade contracts
• Liaise between stakeholders and managing shipment progress to ensure smooth operation from load port to destination
• Negotiate Letters of Credit (LC), prepare invoices and other trade documentations
• To execute post shipment operations including demurrage, AR/AP, freight calculations and running costs for whole shipment

Competencies and Skill Sets required:

• Proficient in English and Mandarin to converse with counterparties
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Working knowledge about LC, shipping documents, inspection and insurance of commodities preferred
• Highly motivated, positive attitude, outspoken and enjoys working with team members

Education and Experience required:

• Diploma/Bachelor degree or equivalent
• Candidates with 1 to 2 years of operations experience in commodities trading firm with detailed knowledge of import/export, international shipping will be advantageous
