PLASTIC MOULD CAD DESIGNER (LOCATION: BATAM)

Plastic Mould CAD Designer (5 days/week - Location: Batam)

Responsible for product analyzing, design for manufacturing (DFM), tool design 3D and 2D drafting, tool review and debugging.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Construct mold design layout and conduct mold design review meeting.
• Design precision plastic injection molds in accordance with the requirements.
• Mold management and liaise closely with internal and external customers on matters relating to mold design.
• Preparation of detail bill of material and maintain thorough documentation of hardcopy and softcopy.
• Coordinate availability of raw materials.
• Provide technical advice to the Sales team.
• Ensure seamless production processes.
• Participate in the First-Off Tool review and assess the suitability of the tool for production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Possesses at least a Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision Engineering, and/or any equivalent engineering discipline.
• 5 years of working experience with strong plastic tooling design background.
• Experience in making LSR mold design, tooling fabrication, as well as packaging mold design is an advantage.
• Proficient in software NX UG or ZW3D.
• Familiar with Design for Manufacture (DFM), engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Ability to develop complex designs to the point of manufacture and release to production.
• Knowledge of plastics & elastomers.
• Computer literate.
• Team player with good verbal and written skills.
• Able to communicate with China counterpart.
