Assists the Registered Physiotherapist (PT) to assess and identify individual needs of residents and formulate/develop, implement appropriate individualized physiotherapy treatment programs.
Assists PT to evaluate and document residents' physiotherapy needs and progress at regular intervals, monitor training programs and their effectiveness.
Assists PT to provide care-giver training in resident-handling and Nursing Home's exercise programs.
Assists PT to provide consultation and support to care-givers regarding residents' status and physiotherapy related matters.
Attends continuing conferences/relevant training programs whenever available to upgrade clinical knowledge and skills.
Consults/refers to Supervisor (i.e. Registered PT) as necessary in the performance of duties.
Updates/documents all treated residents' clinical indicators data into their respective Physiotherapy files daily.
Participates in 6-monthly Multi-disciplinary Rounds chaired by the In-House Physician.
Any other duties as directed by Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Assists PT to maintain efficient records of residents and proper documentation.
Assists PT to handle administrative duties relevant to departmental work and responsibilities as duly delegated, e.g., resident clinical indicators data, residents' monthly reports, etc.
Deputizes PT (during her absence) to supervise new PTAs and Activities Coordinator.
Qualifications:
Hold a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy (for foreign worker).
Holds a Certificate in Therapy Services and preferably with other relevant qualifications (for local worker).
Preferably a female candidate with 1-2 years' experience.
Ability to communicate with all levels of staff/residents.
Qualifications/Experience:
Holds the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) Registered license.
Holds a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy.
Preferably a female candidate with 2-3 years' experience.
Ability to communicate with all levels of staff/residents.
