Pharmacy Technician

Job Description:

1. Order, pack & assemble medications according to prescription / order with speed and accuracy.
2. Dispense medications according to operational and legal requirements.
3. Provide medication counselling.
4. Carry out dispensary and distribution processes according to standard protocol and guidelines.
5. Handle pharmacy phone calls to ensure that internal or external calls are answered promptly.
6. Perform billing of medications to relevant payers appropriately and accurately.
7. Perform regular checks and maintenance of equipment used to ensure optimal function, as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
2. At least 1 year of relevant experience in hospital pharmaceutical operations would be an added advantage.
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
