Petroleum Product Operations Executive

Our client is an energy trading company that engages in the import, export, and trading of crude oil and petroleum products. They are looking for a Petroleum Product Operations Executive, who can join the company within short notice.

Job responsibilities:

• Preparing deal contracts and countering/negotiation with counterparties
• Ensure that all commercial and operational obligations/nominations arising from the contracts are carried out and in compliance with the company’s standards
• Handling cargo operations includes vessel screening, preparation of relevant documentation. Ability to liaise with suppliers, surveyors, ship brokers and agents to ensure timely shipment
• Monitoring of vessel movements to ensure timely delivery to receivers
• To communicate closely with agents, surveyors, suppliers and receivers to ensure smooth cargo shipment
• Handling of Trade finance for e.g Letter of Credit
• Handling of claims including but not limited to demurrage
• Calculation and negotiation of demurrage
• Preparing pricing, invoices and monitoring payments
• Ensure that all operational information is entered timely and accurately into the Company’s trading systems
• To assist with any Ad-hoc work assigned by the company

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ relevant bulk cargo operation experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Maintain a mature discretion in handling confidential information/issues
• Organized, meticulous, and possess a strong sense of urgency
• Responsible, pleasant, and approachable
• Initiative, possess positive attitude, willing to learn, and able to work as a team and also independently
