Perm Junior Medical Technologist (Cytogenetics Lab) #HZT

Preparation of cytological specimens, including gynaecological and non-gynaecological samples for the diagnosis of diseases.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and accession both non-gynae and gynae specimens.
• Process gynae specimens (both liquid-based Cytology and conventional smears) and subsequently mount and label the prepared slides.
• Prepare non-gynae specimens, including processing, staining, mounting, and labeling of prepared samples.
• Learn to screen gynaecological and non-gynaecological specimens under the supervision of the senior cytotech.
• Comply with senior staff regarding work procedures and duties.
• Willing to undergo training and development as necessary.
• Perform all procedures in accordance with laboratory protocols and SOPs.
• Learn FNA techniques and, with experience, be able to make an on-site diagnosis.
• Comply with the safe disposal of Gynae and Non-Gynae samples.
• Assist in recording and filing of QA sheets.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Lab Science, or any related field.
• Able to start work immediately or on short notice.
