3 rotating shifts

Responsibilities:

1. Attend to hygiene needs of patients who require assistance or are bedbound
2. Oral feed patients who require assistance with oral feeding
3. Monitor patients’ vital signs
4. Collect body fluid samples for investigations from stable patients
5. Perform oro-pharyngeal suctioning
6. Perform 12-lead ECG
7. Perform capillary blood glucose monitoring
8. Assist nurses in resuscitative situations
9. Deliver care to patients with tubes, catheters and restraints
10. Comply with infection control practices when attending to patients
11. Transport discharged patients on wheelchair to the taxi stand or to designated transport as assigned
12. Fetch ‘stable’ ambulant patients or patients on wheelchair to other departments or for tests and investigations
13. Maintain tidiness of ward, drug fridge, clean utility, disposal room, equipment and trolleys at all times or as assigned

1. WSQ Certificate in Health Care Support (Nursing Care) or
2. Completed in-house Basic Certificate in Healthcare Course
3. Service-oriented and possesses good communication skills
