Job description

Summary

As a Performance Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining performance measurement and attribution systems, ensuring seamless integration and accurate reporting. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance operational workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the timely delivery of performance and analytics reports for various business units.

Your primary focus will be on managing and maintaining systems like B-One and FactSet (SPAR/PA), while also supporting the integration of proprietary databases for downstream reporting. Key stakeholders include Portfolio Managers, Sales and Marketing teams, Senior Management, and Local Business Units.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support performance systems, including B-One and FactSet (SPAR/PA).
  • Perform data reconciliation between performance systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage system setups, configurations, workflows, and data checks within performance systems and analytics workflows.
  • Investigate and resolve issues in performance workflows by identifying root causes, engaging stakeholders, and driving resolutions.
  • Escalate critical issues, process gaps, or inaccuracies promptly as required.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to redesign process flows and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Provide responses to queries related to fund and benchmark returns, asset returns, and attribution results.
  • Ensure all procedures are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement automation where applicable.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in maintaining performance or attribution systems, with a focus on performance analysis and investment risk analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with FactSet Systems.
  • Experience in system implementation or migration within performance/attribution systems is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of portfolio performance calculations, risk analytics, and financial instruments, including derivatives.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL queries.
  • Strong technical skills in Python, C#, and VBA for data transformation and workflow automation.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPM or CFA (or currently working towards them) are preferred.
