About the role
The People, Culture and Belonging - Business Partner in the APAC region will support and implement key culture and belonging initiatives, focusing on cultural awareness, inclusion programs, and building strong partnerships across the business. The role works closely with various internal stakeholders, including business leaders, HR teams, culture working groups, and employee resource groups (ERGs). The primary regions include India, the Philippines, China, Singapore, and Australia.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver D&I learning programs that are culturally relevant to the APAC region (e.g., Inclusive Leadership, Psychological Safety, Allyship, and Unconscious Bias). Manage timelines, milestones, resources, budgets, and risk mitigation for training initiatives.
- Support programs like leadership development for women and ethnicity talent initiatives. Involvement in delivery and design of programs to boost inclusion and talent development.
- Partner with HRBP teams and business leaders to embed culture and belonging best practices and ensure alignment with business goals. Utilize inclusion data to support HR decisions and demonstrate the impact of culture on broader business outcomes.
- Collaborate with local ERG leads and champions to design and deliver cross-functional projects, ERG events, and training. Help facilitate quarterly ERG meetings and ensure actions are followed up effectively. Create localized metrics to track inclusion progress, identify trends, gaps, and advise on actionable improvements.
- Proactively explore and implement new culture and belonging opportunities, building partnerships with external experts when needed. Keep the business informed about emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in culture.
- Collaborate with communications teams to raise awareness and encourage engagement with culture initiatives across the organization.
- Partner with external experts and organizations to further inclusion goals and maintain high standards.
- Work with the CoE to ensure culture and belonging best practices in talent management, recruitment, and pay equity. Actively engage with the wider DIB (Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging) team to develop new ideas, initiatives, and content and share best practice with the other I&D leaders across RELX.
Requirements
- Experience in Inclusion, Culture and Belonging, Talent Development, or HR roles.
- In-depth knowledge of Inclusion trends and best practices.
- Experience in delivering training programs, including HR and skills-based training.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business.
- Experience in working across a matrix organization and HR business partnering models.
- Good analytical skills to measure and evaluate impact.
- Relationship-building and influencing skills with diverse leadership styles.
- Experience in collaborating with external culture and belonging providers and bringing new ideas to the business.
- This is a multifaceted and high-impact role that requires a balance of strategic thinking, project management, strong interpersonal skills, and an understanding of how culture and belonging can drive organizational success.
